New fish feed factory to be opened to accomplish objectives of promoting fisheries and aquatic resources development as per vistas of prosperity and splendour of his Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksha, The President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka under the guidance of Hon. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksha with the technical and financial Assistance of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). This is a public private partnership project for production of nutritive and cost- effective fish feed for the development aquaculture industry of the country, between NARA and Agri-Star Compost (Pvt.) Ltd.

The fish feed production factory  will be open by Hon. Douglas Devenanda , Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources  with the participation of Hon. Sanath  Nishantha Perera , State Minister of Fisheries and Inland Fisheries Industry on 05th February, 2020.
