SAARC Regional Consultation on “Best Management Practices in Aquaculture: capacity building and policy development” workshop has been scheduled from 19-21 September 2017 at Goldi Sand Hotel, Negombo, Sri Lanka.
The workshop is jointly organized by SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC), Dhaka, Bangladesh and National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA), Sri Lanka. Participant countries are included, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The inauguration ceremony was held on 19th September 2017 and special guest speech was delivered by Dr. Jerry Jayawardene, Chairman, Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy. Open ceremony was grace by Hon. Dilip Wedaarachi, State Minister, Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development.
