Lending

The Lending Library has over 6,000 books, most of them covering the subject areas  Ocean, Fisheries, Aquatic Science and Science and technology. Descriptions of items in this collection can be found using the Online Library Catalogue. Lending facilities are available for NARA staff only.

Reference

        The library holds copies of all higher degree theses completed by the staff of the NARA and those of  NARA staff members who obtained PG degrees at overseas universities and institutions. The dissertations are listed in the catalog under the subject.

        Journals
        This collection has both local and foreign issues of periodicals including indexing and abstracting journals, which are arranged in alphabetical order. This collection has over 250 titles of periodicals on subscription, extension and donation. Online access facilities are also available in the periodicals section for in-house collections. Online versions of some journals and the AGORA database online versions of
some journals are also available.

       Internet Access
        The NARA Library and Information division provides its members access to its online Databases through the Internet.

       Newspaper clipping
       An excerpt cut from a newspaper. Daily newspapers such as The Daily News, Island, Divaina, Lankadeepa etc. are available in the reading room for reference only.
