Dr. H.M.P. Kithsiri has been appointed as the Director General of the National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA) by the Hon Kanchana Wijesekara, State Minister of Ornamental Fish, Inland Fishery, Shrimp Farming, Fishery Harbour Development , Multiday Fishing Activities and Fish Export as per guidance from the Hon. Douglas Devananda, Minister of Fisheries on 04th November, 2020.
Dr. H.M.P. Kithsiri was serving as the Deputy Director General (Research and Development) of NARA prior to the present appointment. He has 30 years research experience in the field of aquatic resources.
