Forecast of skipjack tuna fishing grounds for multi-day vessels using gillnets

The National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA) has released a forecast of skipjack tuna fishing grounds for multi-day vessels using gillnets. This provides a map showing the areas where the skipjack tuna for the next five (5) days from the date the forecast is issued. Satellite, oceanographic, and fisheries data are used to create this forecast. The forecast maps will issue three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).  the forecast maps will be issued for sea areas between -2 South to 12 North latitude and 75 East to 90 East longitudes. This service will initiate on 02nd May 2022.

We are requested interested  boat owners and fishers to join with us by filling the following form. We need your fullest support to improve the accuracy of the forecast. You just need to give your feedback of the forecast and correctly update the fisheries logbooks.

ජාතික ජලජ සමිපත් පර්යේෂණ සහ සංවර්ධන නියෝජිතායතනය, නාරා ආයතනය මගින් කරමල් දැල් පන්නය සිදුකරන බහුදින යාත්‍රා සඳහා බලයා මසුන් ගැවසෙන ප්‍රදේශ පිළිබඳ පුරෝකථනයක් 2022 මැයි 04 දින සිට එලිදක්වා ඇත. මෙමගින් පුරෝකථනය නිකුත්කළ දින සිට ඉදිරි දින පහ (5) සඳහා බලයා මසුන් ගැවසෙන ප්‍රදේශ දැක්වෙන සිතියමක් ලබා දෙනු ලබයි. මෙම පුරෝකථනය නිර්මානය කිරීම සඳහා චන්ද්‍රිකා , සාගරවිද්‍යා සහ ධීවර දත්ත භාවිතා කරනු ලැබේ.පුරෝකථන සිතියම් සතියකට දින තුනක් (සඳුදා, බදාදා සහ සිකුරාදා) නිකුත් කරනු ඇත. දකුණු අක්ෂාංශ -2 සිට උතුරු අක්ෂාංශ 12 සහ නැගෙනහිර දේශාංශ 75 සිට නැගෙනහිර දේශාංශ 75 අතර මුහුදු ප්‍රදේශ සඳහා පුරෝකථන සිතියම් නිකුත් කෙරේ.
